Install the extension
Install RoleSift from the Chrome Web Store, then keep the same Chrome profile active when using the website and extension.
Add RoleSift to Chrome.
RoleSift currently supports Google Chrome. Install the extension and use RoleSift on supported job pages to answer a before-scan decision question, choose a scan level, and review a result from your account.
Log in to RoleSift
Open RoleSift in the browser, log in, and keep the same Chrome profile active. The extension uses your RoleSift session to check plan, credits, and saved profile status.
Complete profile setup
Quick Check can scan opened job description text. Profile Match and Application Strategy need your reviewed structured job-fit profile from setup.
Open a supported job page
On LinkedIn Jobs and similar sites, manually open the full job description first. On other normal web pages, open or select the active job posting text before using the extension.
Choose the scan level
Answer whether you would apply before seeing the result, then explicitly choose Quick Check, Profile Match, or Application Strategy. The extension shows the credit cost before scanning.
Review the result
Use the result to decide whether the role deserves more time before tailoring.

- Storage keeps local extension settings, backend URL, cached result metadata, and session state.
- Active tab lets RoleSift interact with the current tab only after you click the extension.
- Scripting lets RoleSift inject the overlay if the content script is not already loaded.
- Context menus adds “Scan selected job text” for pages where automatic extraction is not available.
- Host permissions are limited to supported job pages and the RoleSift web app/backend.
Do not paste sensitive personal data into feedback. The extension should not expose API keys or call OpenAI directly from browser code.
